Here are some of the testimonials from the scholarship recipients:
Thank you so much for your kind email. I was so excited to receive it! I’m so sorry I didn’t reply earlier, I was racing at Youth Nationals this weekend, so it has been very busy. Our boat ranked the 2nd best high school team in the nation. I was so proud of myself and my teammates. Your email came the day before my race and really boosted my spirit. Again, I want to thank you for your kind words. I will do everything to live up to your expectations of what it means to be a rower/why I row. Thank you again for this incredible scholarship, it really means a whole lot to me. Thank you so much!
Thank you so very much for your email! I am so happy to hear from you!!
I wanted to reach out to express my gratitude for being awarded this year's SRAA Gold Scholarship. I cannot thank you enough for the honor and help you have bestowed upon my family and I. This aid is such an amazing gift and will help my college fund tremendously. I am so grateful that the SRAA organization holds this scholarship opportunity for young athletes like myself, so they may continue to pursue their passions in college. I am so blessed to be rowing in college and studying what I am passionate about - engineering. This scholarship is truly an amazing honor and blessing. Thank you again for taking the time to read my application and selecting it among the other applicants.
I am also very thankful to my coaches and counselors for sharing their insight about me as a student, athlete, and person. I have had the pleasure of representing my school in a variety of different ways and have enjoyed every minute! A few years ago when I was a freshman, Gwynedd started a rowing program led by Coach Bill Ernst. I was introduced to the sport and fell in love with rowing. Coach Ernst shared his love for the sport with me, spent numerous hours coaching myself and teammates, and continues to influence my rowing career!
The sport of rowing has greatly impacted my life and helped sculpt me into the athlete that I am today - a dedicated, hardworking, team oriented, spirited rower who loves being on the water with my best friends!! I am looking forward to rowing for years to come and staying connected with the rowing community!!
I wanted to share some pictures with you as I received the scholarship and share my happiness and gratitude with you!
Have a wonderful day!
