Procedures for Weigh-In of Lightweight Rowers

 

There will be only ONE weigh in for the entire regatta (Friday morning.) There will be NO re-weighs. Rowers must make weight on the first attempt. The weigh-in procedure will be conducted as a yes/no system without actual weight being announced.

Test scales will be open Thursday evening in the finish line area from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm

Window for Weighs-In. Friday only: 7:30am -10:30am

Men’s Weights: 150 lbs (no averaging)
Woman’s Weights: 130 lbs (no averaging)

All weigh-in procedures must be completed two hours prior to race time

All boats must have a boating weigh-in form filled out prior to weighing-in (supplied at weigh-in area)

Rowers should bring a picture ID

All rowers per boat including coxswain must be present for weigh-in.

Coxswains do not weigh-in.

Rowers scheduled in the earlier races will be given priority.

All rowers must weigh-in in (at least) their team uniform (uni).

Rowers at weigh-in will NOT be given a second attempt to make weight and if they don’t make weight on the first try they will be excluded from lightweight events for the entire regatta.

Rowers making weight must not leave the weigh-in area without lightweight wristbands attached to their “outside” hand.

Wristbands are to remain in place until the conclusion of rowing.

Problems with wristbands must be brought to the attention of the referee in charge of weigh-ins.
